Care Guide
You’ve invested in quality and we want to help your family enjoy these items for many years to come.
Cleaning
-
To remove light stains, wipe with a damp cloth and thoroughly air-dry.
-
Do not submerge in water.
-
Manage liquid spills with an absorbent cloth or towel as soon as possible and thoroughly air-dry.
Maintaining
-
Position away from direct sunlight, heat and damp conditions, as these can alter the colour and strength of natural fibres.
-
Our baskets are crafted from natural fibres, so they might change shape over time. To restore its shape:
- Dampen your hands slightly with water.
- Gently moisten the basket where it needs reshaping.
- Allow it to dry fully.
- To flatten a particular side, place heavy books on it while drying.
Caution: Avoid soaking the basket or using excessive water. This will cause the fibres to expand and alter the basket's size.
Spun Bamboo Products
-
Regular maintenance with a natural polish, such as our recommended Gilly's Food-Safe Wax, is an effective barrier against dry conditions, which can cause fine cracks to appear.
-
Although our spun bamboo products are made from food-safe materials, they are not microwave or dishwasher safe.
